I was taking a walk with the dogs on the beach this morning and felt inspired to share the view with you. Btw, if you can’t see the video above, then click here.
Not a single day goes by here without me noticing what a stunning place this is. And this beach is my number one favourite in Antigua. What a place to ‘Get To Happy – Where the Beach is Just the Beginning’! From the tourist office 😉
Tell me what you think? Is this not a real feast for your eyes and a drink for your heart?
This is Galleon Beach in the south of the island, near to historical English Harbour and Nelson’s Dockyard. During the sailing season (from December until May) this is the passage for the yachts, so there is a constant parade of beauty that passes in front of the bay.
So what can you do at Galleon Beach? Hike around to the Pillars of Hercules. Walk up to Shirley Heights to watch the sunset serenaded by a steel band. Sunbathe on pristine, fine, Caribbean sand. Snorkel with turtles, barracuda, an array of reef fish. Do bombs into the water from the end of the jetty. Play cricket. Skim board. Play Frisbee. Build sandcastles. Enjoy a Pina Colada slushy from the cool little beach bar. Read a book. Soak up the view as you tan gently under the warm Caribbean sun while intermittently dipping in and out of the balmy sea.
Bliss. In Paradise. That’s one of the 365 beaches in Antigua!
